The head gasket on my '99 s10 cracked. Pep Boys says it will cost $3,600 to replace w/ used engine. Rip-off?
It doesn't seem like it should cost that much (labor included) to replace the engine with a used, 60k mi V6 vortex engine. However, since I don't know much about auto repair, I would like to know what a reasonable price would be to repair
I would check around as that sounds real high to me for a used engine and labor to put it in, that price is almost in brand new engine territory.

Most of these sites won't pop up to the surface of the average search engine quest, and so they wait, neglected and underused...until now
