I know the L88 produced up to 435 HP, but was there a "race only" version Vette offered with no radio or heater that produced 465 HP ?
It seems as though the L-71 was the 435 horsepower engine but the L-88 horsepower was downplayed and determined at 5,200 rpm. The actual horsepower was 560. Read the story below:
