Why doesn't my Audigy Platinum's External drive work?

OS = Windows XP SP1. Soundcard works fine (installed drivers) but the external drive doesn't seem to work. I previously had the card setup on another machine with no problems.
It doesn't seem to be detected and nothing I plug into it seems
I would venture a guess that you either did not reconnect the ribbon cable that runs from the sound card to the drive. Either that or the ribbon cable is plugged in backwards, though you should not be able to do that.
